Chronicles of COVID-19, Part 5

Here is one of the latest entries from Our COVID-19 Diary by Kids Around the World.

ECE LFH 2020 Diary (1)

I’ve seen a large contingent from New Jersey, which is actually where I was born and lived until I was 10 years old.  Some other trends I’ve seen – almost everyone has a pet, most students seem to miss going to school (although there are a few who are loving this educational model!), and many students are enjoying the extra family time.

I hope that we will get more entries this week!  See the above link for how to access the diary and troubleshooting tips.

  1. Hi Terry! I am Nita from Bombay International School, India. I asked one of my students. Shiraz, to contribute to the diaries as I just loved the idea. I am so glad she has. Thank you for starting this chronicle.

A side note – I love your blog.

    1. Nita, thank you so much for commenting! I really enjoyed the entry from Shiraz. She seems like such an amazing person just from the little I’ve read. I hope you are doing well and staying healthy!

  2. Terry, Good morning! This is Dana Nitzsche from Bloomsbury Elementary School in NJ. Some of my students from Reading and Writing Rebels Club have made contributions to your COVID 19 Diary, which all of us think is really neat, my principal included.

We would like to be able to share about the Diary on our school’s FB page, featuring Emma’s google slide as you did. I just wanted to make sure you were ok with this before I figured out how to include it there. We may also put it on the community page as well if that’s ok.

Emma was thrilled, as was I, that you shared her slide in your post! It’s these experiences that make this difficult time a little brighter!

Thanks for always being there for me with these great ideas!

    1. Hello Dana!
I would love for you to share the slide show. Here is a short link to share the show if you just want people to view it, not add to it: bit.ly/coviddiary (it is case sensitive, so everything must be lower-case). And, if you want more students to add to it you have two options: you can use the link I’ve been sharing, or you can make your own slides presentation and share it with me when you are ready to add it to the original I’ve made. Then I can just import the slides from yours to keep it all in one presentation. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at engagetheirminds@gmail.com

Thank you for your support! It’s helpful to know that I’m not speaking into a void!

      Terri
