My name is Terri Eichholz, and I have been an educator in San Antonio, TX, for 29 years. I began my career as a 5th grade teacher, specializing in teaching science. My next adventure was as a teacher of gifted students in grades K-5 for 19 years. More recently, I was a S.T.E.A.M. Master Teacher for grades 4-12. I have recently retired from classroom teaching (December, 2019) – but not from education!
Through social networking and professional development opportunities, I regularly seek new ideas for engaging students. In return, I try to share with other educators anything that works well. My hope is that you will find this to be a helpful resource, and that you will feel free to contribute your own ideas as well.
I am continuing to be involved in education by working as a freelance writer and providing professional development. If you are interested in hiring me for either of these, you can contact me at engagetheirminds@gmail.com or tweet @terrieichholz. You can also view more information on my LinkedIn profile.
Terri, thank you so much for sharing this resource! I agree that teachers as well as parents can gain insight from the collected essays.
Very cool, brand new to wordpress, but I have a feeling I’ll be enjoying your content.

Hi Terry,
I was surprised to see a bulletin board that I made in college on your blog! I am glad that you like it! I am eager to try some of the items on your website as well! Thanks for the support!

Hey – you need to submit a presentation for iPad Palooza this year to showcase all of your GT iPad projects – http://ipadpalooza.com/2012/10/26/ipadpalooza-call-for-ipresenters-now-live/
Thanks! I’ll have to think about that… BTW, thanks, too, for the stats boost you gave me when you “pinned” me today! 😉
Terri,
I absolutely love your ideas and postings, and I look forward to reading them every day. I have gifted 1st through 8th and three schools, so I think our circumstances are similar. Many of your offerings have saved me and inspired me. Please know how very much I appreciate you and what you do.

Wow! Thank you so much! If you ever have any ideas to offer, I would love to hear them!
Extremely good content, I had previously entered a few comments, and always hope to inspire others. I looked for a few seconds to email direct.
If that does not happen, it’s not an issue – maybe you can find me?
My email is engagetheirminds@gmail.com
